69 skylark 455 possibilities

    im putting a 76 455 in a 69 skylark.350 turbo,factory 2.56 or 2.73 gears(not sure yet),factory 70 intake and q jet,heads (76)shaved.030,a factory hei,exhaust manifolds,good mandrel bent 2.5 exhaust,not sure what cam yet.now the question what kind of e.t's can i expect and any ideas on camshaft selection and a good set of cheap valve springs?this is a budjet build up im into this deal very cheap, i mean cheap.its kind of a get into the 12's cheap kind of thing if possible..........oh yea i forgot stock 76 short block,pistons rods etc.

    I think you would be lucky to get in the 14's with 76 heads and pistons, the 75-76 heads are open chamber and are considered junk heads,i dont think you could get the commpression up to 8 to 1 even with a flat top piston, if you upgraded your heads and pistons, then you could take advantage of a better cam, but with those gears you might hit high 14's. Its all in the combo.With the right car 9.5 to 1 commpession, 70-74 heads and some porting and a good valve job.
    , 118 cam,355 gears, 2500 stall, some drag radials you might get in the 12,s. just my 2 cents

    Either spend a ton on $ on those heads or get some 69 or 70 heads, or some TA performance heads.
