Not mine - it has incorrect rallies, and the chrome air cleaner should be sans the repro 430 sticker, that are mia off the valve covers. While were at it, the imitation B4B intake manifold should also be Buick red.
Any other observations/comments ? :Do No:

Only one: not only is that the 69 Riviera is (OK, arguably) the best looking car ever made, but that is a beautiful example of it.

    Wow.

From the looks (color) of the heads and intake, I suspect the car has had the heads off at one time. Maybe a valve job?

I believe the mileage is original. But its not even the original paint. Looks like it has a T/A exhaust. No resonators for sure. Definitely no untouched virgin.

It sure is a clean car. Interior is super clean too. I wish my 69 looked that nice. But 35k? I dont think so. I chuckled when I saw that. Thats kind of steep. Especially in this economic climate. I bet you can buy the absolute best 69 Riviera on the planet earth for under 20k.

Randy, aside from the wrong center caps, how can you tell they are the wrong wheels?

1st off, the ad has an annoying narration that I wasn't prepared for, and the page took so long to load even using high speed cable that I couldn't turn the sound off fast enough because it choked up my computer while it loaded.
God, I hate opening a web page and getting an ear full when I'm not expecting it! :af:

    Any ways, about the car.
Definitely looks like a TA exhaust.

Are those home made speaker holes drilled into the rear shelf?

Wrong hose clamps. I normally don't give a rip about hose clamps, but.

Left battery charger on for photos.

Missing windshield washer hose off of bottle.

Unusually long heater hose leading to heater valve.

Too many things under the hood to pick out.
when you are asking $35,000 for a 2nd Gen Riviera, I would hope it would be better detailed and cleaner under the hood.

But, it is a very, very nice looking car! :TU:

    The price? [IMG]

I just noticed those holes in the plastic package shelf.

I wonder whatr prompted the previous owner to repaint a 31k mile car? It looks like the car was well cared for otherwise. Do you think the paint deteriorated that badly?

I would rather people left the paint alone on low mileage cars.
    A little patina isn't a bad thing.

The black paint under the hood and engine paint job does not look close to original. For this price?? Wonder why people do a job like this under the hood and ask this amount of $$$...stay off it at 31K original miles or do it Factory style. Is it bad taste or done by people who drive 80's and 90's cars with no classic feeling?

It's not perfect for sure. I wouldn't even want a perfect car, because I need to do something to them.

It would be worth 35000.00 if it came with 25000.00 in the trunk.

The correct wheels would have a 2 1/8" dia hole for the ribbed, cone shape centre caps, along with a centering ring in the rear of the hub for disc brake applications. The 2" dia flat centre caps on this car would not fit the proper wheels (too small), so the wheels may be '71 or newer ralleys. After market repro centre caps do come in both sizes, so I may be wrong.
Hard to judge visually Dale, without measuring with a straight edge, as both style wheels look very similar. On the correct earlier ralleys, the centre hub portion of the wheel does not protrude as far from the front edge of the rim, along with the centering ring in the rear of the hub. :Do No:

    . . . still a very nice looking car though ! :TU:

    Randy,
Last night after I posted, I was thinking about the size of those holes for mounting the caps, and remembered that at one time I got some ralley wheels that I had to open the holes up with a die grinder in order to get the cone shaped center caps to fit.

I just had the article on these wheels by James Brothers emailed to me by another board member.
Now I should be able to identify all the wheels I have up in the rafters of my garage.

    Thanks Randy!

    :beers2:
