There are a few more attachments for those stud guns than just studs to pull out dents and attaching new studs for trim/ windshield trim

The LH corner shelf is a Chevelle piece from CHI . I cut and modified it to fit . Worked out well. ...
The Chevy has a longer rear shelf so I shortened it .

    Update,
Nick has been getting the body parts ready for primer and I have spent the weekend finding/blasting/painting all kinds of nuts/bolts/parts. I took a few pics of 2 of the interesting pieces.
    More to come.

    Duane,

What does the code on that hose clip signify? This isn't original to my car but I was lucky enough to find one here on the board.

    AK is embossed in mine.

I have no idea, and have an "AK" also. I have a few different ones and they all have different codes on them. I even have 1 that is a completely different design. It has 2 fingers that basically slam the hose against the radiator tank.

Maybe it had to do with the diameter of the hose, or the company that made them?

If you look closely you can see that the "AK" & "AH" are slightly different. Yours has 2 "dimples" while mine does not
Maybe that was what the letter codes signified, different designs.

Here are pics of some more "done" parts. A big block Buick/Chevy lower steering column piece and the original lower bolts/clips for the front shocks.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

Duane I like all the detail work everyone is doing its going to look fantastic. Great to see fellow Buick guys doing some of the work on the car like Adam and Nick. Let us know if anyone else on the board is working on other parts of the car restoration.

    Ryan,
There are a ton of people on the board that are helping me find parts, and helping me "learn" where and who I can get them from. I got some pieces from James Weinman and Bruno, and will be meeting with Gene Hill in the next week to hopefully get some more parts. Mark Reeves is getting my hood inserts re-chromed, and he found the pulleys I needed. I got both an interior screw kit and a body bolt kit from Todd Miller, plus battery cables and headlights and an engine wiring harness. I also got parts from Ames Performance, and CARS.

There are many others trying to find me some dash pieces and rear trunk/quarter chrome trim and I appreciate all they are doing. I have guys all over the place digging thru their parts stashes for me.

I believe I am getting a radio bezel from Mark Lob (? spelling) and I don't even think he knows that yet. Ajesh found it for me.

Ritchie got me the linkage & backdrive, and Jason Cook got me the linkage and original shifter. James got me the handle and chrome cup on the consolette. I was looking all over for the clip that goes on the inner fender for the heater hoses, and Ritchie had an NOS one just sitting on the top of some boxes. Go figure.
There are just too many people to name that are helping me, but I will continue as everything progresses.

The "chace" for hard to find parts is almost as fun as finding them.

    Yes,
I do enjoy the hunt, and getting to the finished build. I like to fight against entropy when I can. You can't win but it's good to kick it in the A$$ every now and then. That is one reason I like to recycle parts.

I am really not a wash and wax kind of guy.

I'm going up to see Nick tomorrow and deliver clean parts and pick up dirty ones. Haven't seen the car since before it was blasted. Looking forward to it.

Duane- wanted to touch base with you.. My schedule (as other's can attest to) is pretty tight with 3 jobs, kids, travel, house hunting, parts chasing, cleaning out mice nests, etc. I WILL make it a point to spend some time at the garage (1 hour away in CT) this coming week. I will give you a call and go through what I offered. Anything I have that you need you WILL get!! :)

Hello Duane, Any chance you could share the length and width of the trunk trim slots and also the distance from the edge? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

    George,
Don't sweat it. I really don't need any 69 specific hardware. The only screws that I need are the small black ones that go in the "U" shaped rubber pieces that fit in the door jamb areas for the rear quarter panel glass. They look like small wheel opening molding screws but they are black not chrome. I will try to post a pic later today. (I stole a set that I put aside for another car, but will need to replace them.)

    Mike,
Nick has the trunk lid. Monday I will ask if he can help you out with your measurements.

Just got back from seeing Gene Hill. I got a bunch of dash pieces and a perfect outside remote mirror amongst other things. The dash pieces are going to need a bit of intricate painting, but I believe I can do it. Getting those dash parts sure took a load off my mind. Gene really saved me on that one.

Here are 2 pics of the Original Motion emblem that was on the dash pad. One pic shows it half cleaned and the other is completely cleaned.
    Enjoy.

Are those screws about a half inch long or 5/8ths of an inch long?
