Guys, I just came across this thread and read the whole thing straight through. All I can say is...WOW. Duane, I sincerely hope the show in September you're referring to is our East Coast Buick Regionals at Cecil County. I REALLY want to check out that car!
Doug, That's what we're shooting for, it was Beth's idea. Nick says we are bringing it even if it isn't completely finished. The idea was to get Jimmy down there to see and drive it with all his friends around. We will see what happens. Nick now has the trunk painted as well as the rest of the car. I think he is squirting more color on it tomorrow and then clearing everything. Me, I just keep on blasting and painting parts. Looking forward to the day I run out of parts to clean. I can't wait to start assembling. Duane
Brian, I don't know. This car is Crystal Blue (#53) and Gulfstream Blue is (#25) Maybe someone else can chime in. I am not really good with colors. All whites look the same to me and all really dark colors just look like they are black. I have always had trouble telling different shades of colors. Even when I had my upholstery shop, and was hand mixing colors to spray vinyl, I had one of my employees help me do color matches. I could get it close, or what I thought was close, but could never quite get there. Once we had the amounts of different colors figured out, I was off and running. Duane
