I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a column shifter knob for my 69 Special Deluxe with a 3 in the tree. I saw that OPG has this shifter that they have listed for a column shifted 71-72 skylark. The automatic column shifter is short and stubby but the manual column shifter looks exactly like this and I was wondering if anyone knew if it fits a 69
While I don't know the answer for sure, I'd be surprised that they'd NOT list it for 69, if it physically did fit. Did you try to contact OPG and get some specs or feedback on fitment?
I did. They said it doesn't fit but that they have one for a 69 though I can't find it anywhere on the website
They should have been giving you an item number that you could use on their web catalog to look at it. I wonder if they are trying to sell you a non-Buick part. Do you have an original that you are looking to replace?
Yes, but the bottom of it was shattered off after a hard shift so I can't confirm the overall length as I only have about half of it intact.
