Hello, Sometime in the future I plan on replacing the single exhaust set up on my 69 Lesabre to a true dual system. I was wondering what size exhaust you guys would recommend? I was thinking something around 2.5 inch. Also what kind of mufflers would you suggest? I want something mellow but not too aggressive. I was looking into flowmaster series 50.
350 i take it ? street cruiser ? 2.5" would be plenty , 2.25" should be fine , really just depends what is handy for ya . a quikee exhaust H-crossover pipe may help a little if room . also check out the dynomax turbo mufflers with the flow directors , flow very well , nice sound and reasonable $$ . TA lists some 2.5" 350 down pipes to use off of stock exh manifolds , not sure of the body style applications . pretty much any dual setup will be a very noticable improvement over the single system . del
Yes it has the 350-4. I daily drive it. Im not worried about downpipes, I have a exhaust guy that is fantastic, Im going to ask what he thinks as well, But I figured I would get some opinions here too. Thanks for the Info
