Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a light on thr dash for cruise control? My car has it and it appears to be original to the car except there is no light on the dash. Below is a pic of the dash which shows a yellow needle on the speedo. I'm guessing that is for speed alert right? I cannot get the cruise to work(i haven't really tried too much) but it has power at the module on the inner fender. Anything I should know? Thanks Bob Th
This may be a stupid question, however, does the speedo work? The speedo drive comes from the trans, through the cruise, and into the dash for the speedo. I have seen many speedo cables twisted off by a defective cruise transducer. The cable needs to be free to the speedo, from the trans. If that is ok, it is likely the transducer itself, but I would definitely check voltages from the switch first.
I actually got it working tonight. I think it might have been a bad connection at the transducer, or maybe the switch itself. It works great though, holds the desired speed nicely. No light on the dash though. Should there be one? Bob
