This guy tried this with another GS a few weeks ago. This auction's been running for a few days, surprised Ebay hasn't found it yet. Anyway, I put the high bid in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...ewItemQQcategoryZ16124QQitemZ4584575648QQrdZ1
Scam or not, I think it's funny that a guy with ZERO feedback doesn't accept bids from people with ZERO feedback.
Not a bad looking car and the price is right. North Bergen is about an hour from me. If you get the car and the deal is for real give me a shout we can always check it out further for you.
I've never been to Jersey......didnt realize it had a tropical climate with palm tree's and everything uzzled: .....I got to get there and check out the beaches :Brow: D.
ou: Sorry Beth just looked at the "Contact Information number and location. Maybe the last hurricane dropped them off from Florida  Oh well I guess I can't check the car out.
Yeah, I tried to bid $1,000,000 but it wouldn't take it. I'm sure the auction will be removed before it ends. This guy should change his story, he uses the exact same text every time. Those of you who haven't seen this yet, people are copying auctions and trying to get someone to send them money outside of Ebay before the auction ends. That's why it says contact me and I only want $4000. This car was sold on Ebay by its rightful owner in Florida a few weeks ago. Ebay usually finds and deletes these within the first 24 hours. Here's a thread http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=82819&highlight=scam Donny
OK GUYS IAM RATHER NEW TO THE V8BUICK AND TO THE EBAY GAME. I NOTICED A COUPLE OF YOUR BIDS ON THIS AUCTION WERE WITHDRAWN AND NOW THE AUCTION HAS BEEN ENDED BY ebay. I HAVE AN E-MAIL FROM THE SELLER SAYING I AM A POTENTIAL BUYER @ $4000.00 IF I GIVE HIM FULL NAME,ADDRESS & PHONE # FOR DELIVERY.I WILL BE NOTIFIED BY ebay IF I AM THE (WINNER)???? AND MONEY WOULD BE HANDLED THROUGH ebaymotors SECURE PAYMENTS. I CONTACTED EBAY AND THEY SUGGESTED I CONTACT spoofemail@ebay.com. ANY THOUGHTS OR COMMENTS??? JAY HODGES (DUSNQTR)
Jay......... I wouldnt under any circumstances give personal info to a seller that is running an obvious auction scam like this :Smarty: tell him to deliver it to a walmart parking lot a couple towns over & you'll meet him with a post dated, certified Bank of Nyrobi cashiers check for $6.000.00 and you'll need $2,000.00 cash back at delivery :Brow: D. :beer PS......oh yea....welcome to V8 :TU:
THANKS DANA & BETH I JUST HOPE I DIDNT GIVE HIM TOO MUCH INFORMATION WHILE IT WAS ON THE ebay AUCTION!
Jay, think about this...Who in their right mind is going to sell you a restored 69 GS 400 convertible for only 4,000 bucks? The answer is....nobody. The sad fact is that these scam auctions are all over Ebay. As Donny said, the actual car sold on Ebay a few weeks ago in Florida. Next time your interested in buying a car on Ebay, have the seller take a picture of himself next to the car diplaying todays paper or a sign that says "Buicks rule". Inform him of your concerns. If he's a legit seller, he should have no problem doing that for you
