Original Signal Red car with white top-looks to have a 1975 or 1976 Buick 455" engine despite the claimed low mileage. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...2&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1#mainImage
From the ad: HERE IS A VERY NICE AND HARD TO FIND 69 GS 400 CONVERTIBLE WITH RAM AIR. AS WE WERE TOLD WHEN IT WAS TRADED, IT IS # MATCHING. WE DONT KNOW HOW TO TELL THAT BUT IF YOU KNOW HOW CALL US AND WE WILL LOOK FOR YOU. Boy were they lied too ou: THE ENGINE RUNS GREAT WITH ONLY 71,000 ACTUAL MILES AND NO MODIFICATIONS THAT WE CAN SEE. IT IS A 4 BBL WITH DUAL EXHAUST, POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. THE 400 TRANS SHIFTS VERY GOOD. SHE RIDES AND DRIVES VERY GOOD. NICE MECHANICAL CONDITION. ISEE NO REASON TO REBUILD ANY DRIVE COMPONENTS. No modifications that they can see uzzled: They must not know anything about Buicks :beer
Hi Mike, It appears that even without the original engine, the car will probably end up going for the "Buy It Now". It's over 7k with 5 days left in the auction. The car is about an hour and forty five minutes away from me. If someone were willing to cover gas money, I MAY be willing to go look at it for them and take a few better pictures. It is obviously not a clone, and was a good color combination from the factory. The few items missing are not a deal breaker for most people. But, Sunday is the real important day in Indy... GO STEELERS! :TU:
