If, yours is only broken on one side it can be repaired, I have fixed a few, and have a repaired on in both my 68 and 9 GS,s for years.

 

Yes it is. Someone did a crude zip tie repair b4 I bought the car.

Here are pictures of my 69 GS400 auto floor shifter handle I repaired. It was broken on one side and I repaired it with a plate and small screws and bolts.

 

I did that very same thing last week to mine. At least now I'll be able to drive it till I find one. Thanks for the pics and info

 

I don't know if they are or are not the same (They LOOK the same), but you can get a reproduction shifter handle for a 68-72 Chevelle...

they also make a repro for the 70/72 handle it will work but not the same and you need the other 70/72 parts to make work. A good repair like I did will last a long time, mine has been on my cars for years. Just need to be careful when shifting.
