69 GS door panel emblems

are you sure those are 69 they don't look like the ones on my car.

 

Tony, it was a pure guess on my part. I've had these for a few years now. I thought they may have came from a 69? Does ANYBODY know what year these are for?

I bought these from Wheelz on 6-2010..68 GS 400 door panels for parts. Stainless trims are excellent. Arm rest backing plates are nice too. (need rechroming tho) Top steel plates are good and the "GS" emblems come with them! These are manual window door panels and you also get the drivers side remote mirror escutcheon! $75/pr. Wheelz, Tampa Bay .

So I assumed they were correct as Dennis has NEVER burnt me on ANY dealings with him. Surely somebody must have an idea about these emblems??

These emblems in question are the same overall size as a 68 gs emblem, just thinner and the pins in back are in a different spot...curiosity is killin me now...

 

NOT 69 emblems. The one that Alan shows (69gs400s) is correct 69. Same length as a 68? I'd have to see 68 door emblems..

 

They are not 68's, for sure.

 

Kinda look like something out of a Year One catalog.

Double the price and put them on ebay! They have to be rare if nobody here knows what they are.

Someone should be able to id by the p/n. Many repro emblems also carry a GM-like number.

 

The same p/n emblem is on ebay, identical except it has the Skylark script. Just search by the p/n.

 

I tried that David and got zip...

 

Maybe they are for a Suzuki GS 550?
