Looking for a restorable driveable 69 gs. Center console shift preferably but doesn't have to have one. Has to be driveable. Not picky on the color or interior. No rust buckets please. Thanx, MIke

Hi Mike..I havent seen the car yet. The owner is a neighbor of my brother about an hour and a half north of me. If you are SERIOUS....I will try to see this car sometime this week and snap a buncha pix and get as much details as possible for you....Please understand, its about a three hour investment that I dont MIND doing for you, IF you are serious, OK! PLUS..if you and he agree to a deal, there is a good possibility I COULD arrange towing it to BG next month?!?!?! Please advise! Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Ok Mike, here ya are: This car isn't quite what was described to me. imagine that, huh. ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN: The 350 runs very nice, has a bunch of "pep", no smoke...appears to have had a recent upper end rebuild...drives nice, shifts firm and stops ok for manual brakes, non posi. INTERIOR: There is a lot of interior work needed ie: headliner, seat covers and carpet. the passenger floor was replaced, probably rusted at one time. The console centerpiece isnt bad, but the plastic part has been beat-to-heck...? Its busted in many spots, however, I have good one for you. BODY: the quarters appear to be rustfree...I reached into the trunk as best I could, and could not feel bondo/filler... the fender dog-leg are rusty. The doors have issues along the bottom. The trunk floor is swiss cheese. All the trim appears to be all intact, the car is basically complete altho the grille is a LARK grille, NOT GS...the hood had been damaged and repaired without regard to correctness....its workable tho. OVERALL: I told the fello he should be happy to get offers in the $2500 area. He mentioned he turned down offers for more than that. :Dou: Anyway, as it sits, its a realistic $2200-2500 car. Cant wait to get your reply~! :beer Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Mike....ihadda very interesting conversation with my brother. We took Mom out out to dinner on mothers day...He asked me 'what happened to the deal I had made for a buyer for his neighbors 69 GS?" ??? :Do No: The more we talked, the more I THINK my brothers neighbor (well not exactly neighbors, but a few blocks away) but the owner of the 69 GS MAY BE waiting for MY BUYER??? :spank: WHEN I called them over two weeks ago, remember I was told the car was SOLD?....MAYBE..just MAYBE I AM THE BUYER hes waiting for?? Dunno. Anyway, the car is still sitting there, for sale signs are off the car..but it hasnt moved in weeks?? Unfortunately, I trashed all his contact info :spank: :Dou: but before I ask my Bro to stop in and get his number once again...WOULD YOU STILL BE INTERESTED?????? Wheelz Tampa Bay

Yup, thats the one. Thanx junkman. Wheelz, I have to leave town for work in a few days  . Wife and I just bought our first house and it has a massive 2 car garage:Brow: just begging for a buick. I will keep my eye on this and if its still around I will probably jump on it. I will contact the guy myself and if a deal goes through I will keep you in mind, maybe we can make a deal to arrange for shipping (seeing how this guy doesn't want to ship). Thanx again and I will pm you as soon as I get back. Mike
