I just bought a '69 GS 350 complete intake to oil pan for $100 bucks from a guy that I contacted on Ebay. Just trying to justify that it's a good deal. All I really needed was the intake but thought heck for the whole thing why not! Bummer though guy had it set on Ebay starting at $5 :eek2: No Reserve and after I made a bid of $5 he cancelled my bid last minute :af: and pulled the motor so I just gave him the $100 bucks he wanted :Do No: and picked it up. I was bummed aboutt he Ebay thing not my idea of a good Ebay'er but whatever. Help me feel better about this guys !!! :TU:

Well sounds like you got a great deal anyway if its a good motor,I had a guy back about a month ago that had a Saginaw 4 speed trans listed and I won it for .99 and he contacted me saying he could not let it go for that and I understood his position and did not hold him to it.I do have more respect for the guy I dealt with just letting the auction run its course and being ohnest with me rather then just ending the auction and cancelling my bid.

Personally I never got the "If you confirm this bid you are obligated to buy this item" message before you confirm your bid if the seller is able to pull the listing at any time. What kind of mentallity is that?

I bet if he sells something again he will at least have a min. bid or reserve amount that is close to what he wants for the item.

But $100 bucks is a smoken deal for a complete engine. I would say you made out like a bandit. :beer

Yeah I kind of figured, I think the bugger of it was that the guy waited to see what the auction would run to instead of just setting a reserve. Whatever I got my intake and some good spare parts if my 350 ever grenades on me! Thanks guys.

You got a great deal! Is the original 350 still in your 69? Parts motors are great, and these motors are cheep now but not for long....

some people may not be able to work ebay that well but if he knows how to cancel bids he should be able to set a reserve. But dude 100 is a great deal. Thats alot of good stuff for 100

assuming you actually get it and that it's not majorly fubared i'd say $100 is a real good deal for a complete engine.
