    Hey Guys & Gals,

For those of you who know me from tha many years of being a proud Buick owner and member of this board, I drive my GSX as much as possible and living in CA means I get to enjoy it year round. It regularly has car/booster seats in it for my girls (7 & 5).

Yesterday Im fixing a leaky faucet in our master bedroom and need to go to Ace hardware, so I drive the Buick.

I leave my house and see a camaro up ahead. When I catch up I notice its someone I know, a very cool local guy who I see at car shows, great guy.

His is a "modern" 69 convertable SS camaro. What I mean by modern is it has 4-wheel disc brakes, upgraded suspension, drive train and I also think it runs an LSx based engine with 4l60e tranny... it makes good power, sounds great and runs very strong. Point is, its a 69 Camaro on the outside that has been restored with todays technology, Its a great car.

We are stopped at a light, just us and we're shooting the ****, saying HI, how's it going...etc.... the light turns green, we take off and at about 10mph we jump on it. By the end of 1st I was a car ahead and pulling away, mid way through 2nd I could see him in my rear view mirror. I know he was thinking.... WTF.... the look on his face was..... :Dou:..... we did it 2 more times, same result. The Buick was just too much.

cant wait till we see each other again, I'm sure we will talk about this.

Just wanted to share with you guys.

I'm a huge LSx fan. I had a 98 SS Camaro, the first year for the LS1 in those, it came out in 97 in the corvette. I had headers, intake, exhaust and a 100hp dry nos setup. That engine got beat on and never failed.

I replaced it with an 05 CTS V that had the LS6 in it....again, beat the crap out of that engine and it just ran better and better...

    Thx
