    I need some help....

Someone unfortuately tried to break into my car before I owned it a gashed about a 2 in hole(jagged) into the column to start the car. Can this be fixed, or do I need a whole new column? The guy I bought this from included a non-tilt column with the car, a different color, but everything is there? Can you paint that "collar" that is broken on mine and just swap it and fix some of the internal parts?

Right now I have to turn the key to unlock the steering wheel, and then pry up that metal piece in the column to start the car... :(

    Thanks for any help!

Do you have a non-tilt column?

If so, you can not use any parts from a tilt column since they are completely different.

If the key cylinder area is the one that is damaged, you can swap out the collar for another one.
