Hooker Super comps, 1103HKR fit 68-69's as well as 70-72's. **I don't know if this site is legit, but it sure is a great price($427.65 when placed in cart) with free shipping over $100, so these would qualify. Lowest price that I've seen for new.... If someone is interested in calling & checking, maybe they have ceramic coated sets for cheap too?
I think they do, I looked it up and they are $735 coated and they have 10% off plus free shipping making them $661. Summit says they are $966.
If they are right from Hooker (Holley), they probably come with a set of flange & collector gaskets, along with header bolts!
what's the difference in painting them yourself and ceramic coating other than the price, does paint last very long, or do you have to touch them up with paint, does the ceramic coating need touched up after a while, I was told if I paint them to use high heat BBQ paint, or high heat paint for a wood stove.
There really isn't anything out of a spray can that will last. Ceramic is expensive, but one of the best for longevity. No touch-up necessary unless the coating is damaged. Devon
You can get spray can high heat paint to last "For awhile" if you sand blast the headers. If you have the cash, Ceramic coating is the way to go. Im cheap, so I use a spray can
Looks like this site jacked up their header prices by $200. Was a great buy.... Did anyone happen to buy a set at the $427 price? https://mbenzgram.com/products/hooker-1103hkr-super-comp-header
