Can someone tell/show me the different length pushrods from the pedal to the M/C? I have manual drum right now and will be going to disc down the road, but I need my system to be working properly in the mean time. I'm not sure I have the correct rod installed right now.

    Thanks

If I"m not mistaken, the manual drum pushrod is attached to the brake pedal. If you go to Power disc, I would recommend buying a power booster- master cylinder combo and bolting it on as one assembly. I did this conversion on my wife's 65 El Camino. She had manual drums with the single reservoir master. I bought the Master/booster combo online and bolted it right up. The difference between the manual and power brake mounting is the brake rod position on the brake pedal. There's 2 holes in the brake pedal. The top pin hole is for manual brakes, and the lower pin hole is for power brakes.

Also, the pushrod length you're looking for is between the master cylinder and power booster, not the one that connects to the brake pedal. I don't know the different lengths, but if you buy the master- booster combo, you won't need to know, because it'll already be installed in the assembly.

Thanks, but I already bought a used set up that needs rebuilt. I'm just not ready for it yet as I'm rebuilding an extra set of A-arms and will do all of the front end at once. I just need for the current system to work right now and be sure that it is safe in doing so.

To measure for the correct pushrod length, insert the rod ( or a bolt or coat hanger) into the power booster hole and mark where it is flush with the opening to get the depth. Then do the same on the master cylinder. Add those lengths together, and that's how long the pushrod has to be.

I have the rod for the disc brake set-up, but there is a difference between the manual drum and power disc rod and I'm not sure if there is between power disc and power drum.

    Anyone have the lengths? Thanks
