Looking at buying a 68 Skylark, has crack in dash. I hate those!
You are looking at it all the time.
Have replaced one on a 72, pretty easy.
How easy is a 68 dash to replace?
    Thanks

should be almost if not the same as the 72 - push clips on the ends and just right of the dash cluster and I think at least one screw going up into it from the underside just right of the radio

Dash Pad or dash cluster? One difference in the cluster removal is the speedometer cable is threaded and not a push on clip and can be difficult to remove and re-install.

Dash pad, next question would be how hard is it to find one?
BTW here is the step child in question.:) Needs a lot of interior work or
    more duct tape!

I did remove the entire dash and cluster on my 68 last year about a 2-3 hour job and I felt like I should have had it on some bucket list but the pad is easy all the nuts are above the glove box and 1 by the radio and pull the ends out they are just tension fastners

Once you have the pad off, how does the front speaker attach?
