Amazing how expensive those cars were back then. Sticker on it was $6000. bear in mind that you could buy a well equipped Chevy Impala for less than half the price.

    What a nice looking design:TU: I wish I had one.......wait a minute, I think I have one buried in a garage somewhere....

Oh man, that's a nice Riv! Drool.
I love the color of the interior. :TU:

Out of curiosity I plugged $5912.69 into an inflation calculator and in 2007 dollars it would be $36,344.35

    Sounds about right.

You could also look at it like this-

In 1968, you could buy a Cobra Jet Mustang fastback for $3600. The sticker on my 68 Riv was $6300.

In 2007, we paid 35,000 for a Mustang GT convertible. So a Riv would have to be roughly around 61,000 in todays money if you use the same price ratio. Give or take a couple thousand.

I remember my Father saying that the 2 new Mustangs he bought in 1967 (one for Mom, one for my sister) where about $2,000.00 each.

Man, I wish I could pick up a new car for that today.
Especially since the Park Ave. wouldn't fire this morning. :af: It's on my $h*t list today.

$13,550 BIN for a nice clean original turnkey car - a real bargain !
Trust me, . . . it would cost you more than that to restore one. :beer :TU:
