68 Riviera hood ornament

If ya want to drive 3 hours north I have one you can try on for size.

 

I have a '68 hood on my '70, and kept the '68 center trim on it.
I will be out in the garage tomorrow replacing the alternator on my Ford Ranger.
(just in time. -25F come Monday)
Anyway, I can measure it for you then.

Hope this helps.
It is 59-1/2" long, and at the bend is 1/2" wide. I didn't think of measuring the height at it's highest point.
I laid the '70 trim along side for comparison also.

Well. . . if I can overcome the downward curve versus more of a straight (~45 degree) bend on my '66, it just might work.

Does anyone want to trade a really nice '70 spear that I highly polished for a '68 spear? Driver condition is fine since I will have to tweak and likely rechrome.

I was just admiring the pictures of your '68. That is the first '68/'69 Riv I have seen with virtually perfect gaps between the rear bumper, both quarters and the trunk. Beautiful!
