Ive seen a few with that radiator support and no fan shroud.I wonder if that was an option for non A/C cars. Down side of a car that super nice is that I could never drive it.
Wow, beautiful example. I would be afraid to drive it. Once you do the restoration begins to degrade.
AC was like $800 extra on a Riv. The sticker on my 68 was $6300. You could of bought 2 Chevys for that!
This is a gorgeous example of a pristine '68 Riviera GS, and the seller is an ROA member. All non-AC cars came without a fan shroud, like this one - the shroud was not an option, and was only found on AC vehicles. This car does have the HD air cleaner and the GS standard chrome lid, which was an option for all '68 Rivieras, (...that 430 decal was owner added). It does have bucket seats, with a working console, in a regular 'standard' interior, and is missing a few Riviera frills, like AC, power windows, cornering lamps, cruise control, speed alert, 4 note horns and a rear window defroster to name a few - all in all though, a very fine example. It is well priced, as it should be - and you even get the build sheet - first one I've ever seen for a '68. ! Just imagine what it would cost to restore a Riviera to this degree of excellence, and also remember they were meant to be driven and enjoyed, regardless of status. :TU:
