I am working with Rusty ( I agreed to buy his core) and Rare Parts, to have it shipped to them.

Lot of mailing to be done, to acuire a center link from the US, to be shipped across the states for rebuilding, and from there to me.

I hope it all works out

Hi Bob, just joined the board recently, also looking for a center link for my 1968 Electra with power steering. I'm confused, since I tried one from East-West Recyclers and it didn't fit. My understanding now is that there were 2 manufacturers for centrer links Saginaw (Mi) and Thompson, which have slight differences. Does this make sense? Apparently it was random, no pattern to which car (American or Canadian) got which supplier. Question is I guess, how do I know if I get a center link long distance, that it is going to fit, or is there a way of telling which center link was supplied by which manufacturer by looking at the old one and I can tell you which one I want? tx Randy

    Hi Randy,

I'm not sure why the one that you purchased didn't fit; the factory only shows one part#(7811113) for a '69 Electra centerlink. I plugged that # into my NAPA interchange and it came up with:

7811113

Make
    Model
    Engine
    Year(s)

Buick
    Riviera

    1967 - 1970
Buick
    Wildcat

    1967 - 1968

Apparently, there is some mis-information in the aftermarket; I've seen this before. The fellow that started this link received his centerlink in Finland, and, as far as I know, he's had no issues with it. If you would like me to check for you on availability and price, e-mail me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Oh, and welcome to the site. Thanks, Bob.
