    Dan,

    I just ordered one last week so I will find out how they are. They are not like a typical model kit, you have to use other models to complete it;
    Glass from a '69 Chevelle AMT kit and I am not sure what else.

    Currently they do not have a plastic chrome plater so the chrome parts will need to be painted "chrome". The kit is pricey, but I don't think that you will ever see another '68 GS kit available.

    I did hear that Perry's is thinking about offering a '68 or '69 GS convertible kit as well as a '68 or '69 wagon kit. They did not give me any specifics on the availabilty date.

    Thanks for the reply Mike. I understand you need parts from other model kits. Is there anywhere to get a resin Buick motor? Let me know how the kit is, I would love to do 1 like my GS400 convertible.
    Thanks,
    Dan :3gears:

    Tim,

    I was thinking of picking up a '69 Riv model kit just for the motor since it should look correct. What did you have to do special to paint that kit since it is resin?

    Nice job on the GS :TU:

    Mike the key to painting resin is to get all the mold release off.Wash it with hot soapy water dish detergent works well.Then wash with an automotive paint pre cleaner. Resin can be painted with auto paint no problem,paint won't attack resin like plastic. I lightly sanded it with 600 grit paper then primed and sanded again. Then used the same Sikkens paint I used on my full size GS.
