how does this car run in terms of performance? I have always wanted to own this car, but I am out of contention (maybe) until next spring. I might be able to do some re-arranging.

The car runs beautifully. If by performance you mean tearing up the pavement and or racing times i have never driven it like that. The motor was fresh when i got it and i have treated it pretty gently, now has about 1400 miles on it.I felt that having the numbers motor was more important than risking blowing it up racing. And Mike thanks but not my style...The car is a real deal at this price..

    Wade,

When I built the engine, we used the best of parts and machined it down to a gnats ass. It was bored 30 over, the crank turned .10 , crank , rods and moving components were all balanced. A TA stage 1 cam was used as well. Every moving part to the engine is new, from the front cover to the oil pump. It runs like a stock 400 should. smooth yet strong.
Tom has barely gotten the engine broken in, it will get better as it gets a few more miles on it.

thanks Mark, i was hoping you would see this. That should be a happy cool running 14 car all day long i would imagine.

At least if David or Mark end up with the car, i know who to court next spring!

I will keep an eye on this and if it gets to me, maybe like I said I can move some things around
