Okay guys, I see no one responded to my last thread, I'm sure it boggled a lot of people:puzzled:. I was able to get my hands on some pictures. Can anyone tell me if what would be accurate for a 1968 Wildcat Sedan w/Bench seats? Please look at the pictures. Any insight would be helpful.

Were the interiors all vinyl or was cloth fabric a possibility? Or both options combined?

Notice that the picture all the way on the right is the same pattern, except it is cloth fabric.

Did the Fabric have vinyl in the middle area of the bench? Any information or thought is better than none. I'm completely lost here. Thanks. :Do No:

Your best bet would be to secure a 1968 Color & Trim album. They were used at the dealership to show customers styles and colors of interiors and also exteriors. It helped in the ordering process if a customer was going to special order a new car and not buy one off the lot.

Here's an example of what I am talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-BUICK-...90963069&pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&vxp=mtr

If my memory serves me correctly, in 1968 the cloth interiors also had vinyl in the center of the seat and along the sides where wear was the greatest.

I guess that's a start, I'll try looking for that in the meantime. Thanks.

Just to try and answer your questions Jeff. Regular bench seats were available in Madrid-Grain vinyl, or Kendall Cloth and Madrid-Grain vinyl for all 4 door WC sedans. On cloth combo versions the pattern was the same, and the centre piece of the seat back was vinyl (...per your pics).
WC Custom Hardtops and Custom Convertibles had upgraded seats - ' Notch-Back' in a different cloth/vinyl pattern, or straight vinyl in a different pattern. The hardtops and convertibles also had a fold down centre armrest in the front bench seat and bucket seats models were also an option.
    Hope this helps !! :TU:

Randy, this was the information that I was looking for! You've been a huge help. Now I can go out and purchase the fabric that I need. If only I could find a picture of what that looks like with the cloth....the hunt continues.

After Googling the info you provided, I found this information as well:
"Wildacat Series 46400 - The interiors had cloth-and-vinyl upholstery. All vinyl upholstery was optional. Bucket seats upholstered in vinyl were an option for the two door hard-top." Found in Standard Catalog of BUICK 1903-2004. by John Gunnell

This was an interesting and helpful book. I'm probably going to buy it.

Jeff, here's a scan of the 1968 Buick Features Manual page that may help. I can't make it any larger due to size limitations for pic posting, but it may give you something to go on !! :TU:
