I was curious if anyone has put the big brake kits in the their cars, and if so who did you go with. Im having a heck of a problem finding a bigger rotor while trying to keep it small enough to use my stock 15" rims
Hot Rod, or one of those type mags, did an article a year or so ago on Bear's Eradi-Speed rotors using Bear's alum 2 piston "Track" calipers. Kit designed specifically for 15" wheel folks that don't want to go to 16+" wheels for bigger brakes..I'll go grab the article. OK--got it. Popular Hot Rodding August 2004--article titled "Big Brakes, Little Wheels" . Bear Serious Street Plus System. A-body system showed to cost $1195 (can't tell from the article if that included the fancier cross-drilled and slotted rotors or smoothies). www.baer.com HAS ANYONE OUT THERE TRIED THIS SYSTEM???...unfortunately they didn't include a real world head to head test on a car showing befor and after stopping distances-the article just showed the install and discussed the parts included in this kit. I saved the article as this system is something I may try someday. Edit: Sorry--the rotors they used are 11"
