Hello, replacing my 68 Skylark Custom bench (w/center armrest) with buckets. Have an interested party that wants the 68 bench for their 67 Skylark. Would need recover of course (Legendary sells the 67 cover). From what I can tell online, at least with Chevelles, is that the frame should be the same. Is that correct, will 68 bench accept 67 cover?

    Thanks!

    Jeff

I don't know for sure, but based on what I hear from a guy at a specialty Muscle car junk yard (Dan's) the front seats do cross as long as both benches are the same (ie armrest or no armrest.)

I am considering using the 1967 covers for a Chevelle in my 1968 GS California car (special deluxe) as this interior is not reproduced and even Custom guys can't really match it...

If you pursue this strategy, let me know how it works out!

For me there is also the back seat issue. Skylarks and GS cars have a narrower backseat in 1968 as there are rear armrests on the side panels. The special deluxe and GS cal cars have no rear armrests. So the seat is wider...

These components (seat frames, covers, etc.) are not cheap as you know. Guessing and getting the wrong thing isn’t appealing!
