Hi all, I am looking up disc brake conversions for my 67 GS, and I was wondering what the difference between 68-72 and 67 disc brakes would be for A-bodies, and if the later discs could swap onto my car?

All depends on the wheels... The 14'' rally wheels that came on the 67 are a bit small for the 68-72.... The grinder will make them fit...

the factory 67 disk brake caliper were a dual piston VS the single 68-72.

If you have 15" Buick wheels, you can put the 68-72 spindles on the 67 car and they work just great. If you want to be 67 specific, that's not as easy.

67 GS Disc brakes used 4 piston Delco Remy calipers which were prone to leaking, due to the seal being fitted to the piston rather than the housing , there may be newer redesigned versions available , original calipers can be sleeved at a cost , 67 GS came with Camaro rally wheels as the type 57 Buick wheels will not clear the caliper ,69 and later single pistons calipers are I think a better solution , however they will not clear the 14 “ rally wheel without a little grinding of the caliper and pins , not recommended , as knucklebusted says 15 s are ok , someone may know if you need to change stub axles , master cylinder, or at least remove the retention valve from the exit port ( with a self tapper )also brake hoses , 4 piston calipers use a small metal fluid pipe and mounting bracket from the hose to the caliper at the wheel , single piston hose only to the caliper

‘68s used the four piston caliper also. ‘69 is the first year of single piston units.

Later model 14" disc brake Buick chrome wheels will work. I'd change master cylinders since the 4-wheel drum master doesn't move enough fluid.

Check out Inline Tubes offerings. The sell everything you need for the swap. I am using 70-72 used factory disc pieces on my 67 and the 1970 master/booster from them. I already switched to 15" Buick wheels. You need to figure out which Buick A body configuration to go with:
1970 GM A-Body Power Brake Upper Kit With Factory Hold Off DBK7002A
1967 GM A-Body Upper Conversion Kit With 11" Booster DBK6702A
    1968-72 GM A-Body 1968-74 GM X-Body Disc Brake Conversion Upper Kit, 11" Booster DBU01

I think Todd has an account with them - ask him.
