I guess this is the best place to post. Anyone have any interest in going through their Service Bulletin Binders and mixing/matching/trading to have more complete sets? To me, it's not so much the info they contain (although some is very interesting, some not) but putting together original sets although it'd be nice to fill in the missing pieces w/copies if need be. I wound up w/3 sets of '71 Service Bulletins & sold one so went through all 3 to see what was there & make 1st, 2nd, 3rd most complete sets. They all had both missing & duplicate Bulletins. Ironically several instances where one set had a duplicate that another set was missing which got me thinking everyone's sets are probably similar but missing different ones &/or different duplicates. So now I have a very complete '71 set (missing only 1 or 2) along w/a set of '71 that's missing a bunch (20 ish) and several extras. I also have '68, '69, '70, & at least a partial set of '72 (none of which I've ever gone through) plus some indexes, which were apparently issued periodically throughout the model year. If anyone is interested, post here & we'll get started.
I have to check at the other garage Dano but I am pretty sure I'd like the 69 set and possibly the 70 set .
I believe I have 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, and maybe 73. I have them all digitized as well. Not sure if they are fully complete. I will have to go look. Mark
Great! Obviously not much interest here on this... I was suprised how incomplete & duplicates my sets had.
Lou, if you read the post, they weren't for sale - I was looking to see if anyone was interested in going through their sets and trading duplicate/missing orig. Service Bulletins. Just beteeen the 3 sets of '71 I had I was able to make 1 complete, 1 almost complete, added some back into the last set, and have some duplicates. Had I realized this was the case, I'd have bought multiple sets of ea. year back when they were available/cheap @ Carlisle. I'd be quite a job to go through and make copies of them as many are several page booklets & I doubt enough ppl would want a copy to make it worthwhile but @Duane said he may have copies of them already so maybe he'd be interested in selling a copied set.
I Didn't read it that way Dano . Thought you were selling . I know I have some extra's in my 73 set if needed .
I'm curious, how do you know if they are complete or missing pages? Is there some type of page numbering or dated pages with superceded notation?
