The 68-69 Cutlass/442 also used that same piece. It’s hard to find a good one, regardless. I bought an entire car to get one before. If the floors have rot then the lower end of that piece is usually bad.
Exactly. I have 4 of 'em w/rot & recently bought a parts car to get a good one & even most of the good ones (incl. the one I just got) have an issue with the shifter being too close to the lower left & damaging them. I'm going to get a '67 Chevelle one & see how close they really are & have also considered fabricating/reproducing the orig. but really, how many could be sold? 10-20 maybe? There's a good YT channel where they do this for limited/obsolete panels so they'd probably be hand formed.
I don't actually know what this looks like, but anything here that might be close? https://www.c2cfabrication.com/collections/tunnel-covers
The Chevelle hump can be modified to fit. The opening needs enlarged. If anyone thinks they can get the original reproduced correctly and needs a nice original for a template,I have one(not for sale).
As Brian said, the hole needs to be enlarged... https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?t...res-of-3-and-4-speed-buick-floor-pans.369367/ https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1970-hump-plate.359149/ https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/64-72-buick-4-speed-shift-hump.114775/
