Jim, thanks for the help. I re-looked at the 3.42 pinion # and that is what is on it. So I an not sure. I think the 3.23 set are out of a 70, but am thinking the 3.42 set are out of a earlier, 68/9, but having trouble remembering 40 years ago.
Jim, Check and see if the 3:42’s have RH thread and the 3:23’s have LH thread. It could help determine a year.
Someone with the 68 and 69 Assembly Manuals could look that up. Also pm David Walker. He may be able to run that pinion number.
Just got the r&p from Bill, and they look perfect for my use. Now I just need to source a posi. I think Jim Mitschke said he had them, so I'll check with him. This forum has been a great help in my project. Ken
Which ratio did you get? Jim,myself,or FabCraft makes posi units,but we would need to know the ratio,and if they are GM gears. I know you have GM gears,but the ratio will determine where to position the ring gear flange.
