Talk about looking for a needle in a haystack! Worth a shot though...

Im looking for an NOS thermostatic vacuum regulator for my 68 Riv. Its for the automatic climate control.

    Gr# 9.798 part number 3015672

Any of you NOS parts hoarders have this piece?

Jason, you got a pic of an old one?
I'm more likely to remember if I've seen one in
my boxes of parts by a visual reminder.

Here is the regulator. I'm 99% sure this is the root of the problem I'm having. Its a rudimentary "brain" for the auto climate control. This piece samples the ambient air and the air coming out of the ducts. Though a set of bi metallic strips, it sends modulated vacuum to the piloted vacuum actuator. The PVA in turn opens and closes the temp door, regulates the speed of the blower and turns the A/C compressor on and off. I've been studying! :Smarty: The one in the pic is a used one I'm going to try this weekend. Ive got two others that are clogged up with nicotine. Would be nice to locate a new one if it doesnt break the bank.

Sorry Jason - no such part, both parts cars are manual AC. That's a complicated looking little sucker, isn't it ? :Do No:
Good luck on the 'brain surgery' ! :TU:
