'68-'70 Riviera Control Arm Bushings - Adjustable Rear?

This may have been asked and answered but here goes.

PST says they have polygraphite rear bushings in a kit of 8 but only for the Non-Adjustable rear on the '68-'70 Riviera. Energy Suspension has them also but I'm guessing it's the same deal. PST says the 4 lowers will work but not the 4 uppers.

I can go OEM but would like to do the polygraphite if possible. I've found OEM at ESPO but they cost nearly as much as the poly and I've yet to pin them down on whether their bushing fit the adjustable rear.

Did the rear in the Riviera come in non-adjustable?

What have you guys used on the suspension?

    Thanks

No. The Riv rears were all the same and there was not a non-adjustable option.

I don't know why you'd want the poly stuff. My OEM replacement bushings work fine. You want to box in the control arms though. It makes a big difference! So does adding the rear sway bar.

Weird how the vendors say they don't have stuff for the adjustable rear. Did you do yours Jeff? Where did you get the parts?

I ordered the whole shaboom in OEM rubber, front and rear from AutoZone.com. Cheapest prices I could find, still a bunch of cash.

I know you've been over the swaybar with us Jeff but would you be kind enough to do it again? My front bar is measured 3/4" - no rear bar. What's involved in installing the rear bar? I've looked for the ADDCO front bar but haven't had any luck finding a supplier. Year One kills me on shipping/handling to this part of the country so would prefer another vendor.
Can you steer me toward another outlet?

    Thanks.

I installed the PST polygraphite bushing in the rear lower arms of 70 Riv, I also have a sway bar to install w/ poly bushings. I boxed my lower arms also. The kit from pst comes with to many bushings, its made for a rear with 4 control arms, we have 3. Also, our upper bushing is larger than than the bottoms, so your out of luck up top. Find rubber i guess. I havent changed my top one yet, but I figure I will fabricate something and use the extra lower bushings that I have. Good luck.

Ordered from AutoZone. Got them yesterday. There are 8 for the rear but only 4 will work since the top are different. Guess the vendors are correct about the adj. rear. Good news is the uppers are in good shape despite the rust on the metal parts.

Napa sells Addco........I ordered mine directly from them, but I have a business. Perhaps you could try just saying you are a business, they didn't ask me for a tax number or any other proof, they just sent it. I told them Napa couldn't find the listing and was uncooperative perhaps that helped me too. They have a website, I just forgot what it is. :bglasses:

We're talking swaybars, right? What did you pay for them at NAPA, front and rear?

    Thanks

I added a rear sway bar from ADDCO. It is available at Year One and is Part Number 933. It is 1" in diameter. The ADDCO front bar is 1 1/8" and it is Part Number 530.

I think you can order directly from ADDCO. If not, then use YO, despite the shipping cost.

These guys advertise discount ADDCO sway bars. Order by part number, NOT by car make/model. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/performance_sm/addco~sway_bar~performance.html

Also, ADDCO's webpage is http://www.addco.net/ and they have a dealer locator on the page.

The part numbers won't come up on the first link and they don't list my year Riviera.

Addco's dealer locator is "Coming Soon".

Guess I'll call Kanter. They're price was about $250 for BOTH.

    Thanks

    Gary
