I would like to find and buy a nice 68-69 Skylark or GS. Obviously a 2 door hardtop. Bucket seats would be the preference, but a bench with arm rest would be OK. 350 V8, automatic. Looking for one that is restored or original. Let me know what you have. Looking to spend up to $12,500.00 maybe a little more if need be. I had a beautiful 69 Skylark Custom and I keep kicking myself for selling it. ou: It went to a guy in Madison Wisconsin. Email any info and photos, JSimonson@TDS.net or call me. I am in Neillsville, Wisconsin H 715-743-2253 Thanks for your help. John enclosed is one of the only photos I took of my old 69 Skylark. :ball:
I called them Chris, they sent me photos and the car is more than I want to tackle. It needs alot of work. I would post photos, but my wife deleted them already! :spank: The car had a crumpled right rear quarter, more than could be fixed, it would have to be replaced. The garage door came down on the car, making dents by the rear window on both sides....ou: It would need a full restoration. Thanks for the lead, let me know if you or anyone out there finds anymore. Have a great day! John
Hi John I sent a message off to the current owner of "GoldieLox" to see where he's at with the car. I pulled Goldie out of some 87 year old woman's heated garage about 9 years ago - it had 46K original miles on it then. I brought it up to about 65K and I dont think the current owner has put more than 1K on it in 4 years. He's local to me and I see him all the time. I'll let you know what I find out
Thanks Alan......let me know what you find out, and if there any more photos available. Is this a Skylark or GS? It looks like a nice car, although I can't seem to see all of it as there is something in the way??? :Brow: Does it have bench or buckets?? Thanks again, John
....Ahhhh - my Ex-Girl friend. Seem to remember 2 things I liked about her but cant remember what o No: ou: I'll add some more pics ..... Pretty plain optioned Skylark - bench, low comp. 350-2, Th350 (was an option), Antique Gold ext., Sandlewood (light creme color) Deluxe interior (option ... like the GS interiors) with center-arm rest. PS, PB, and AM radio about rounds out the option list. RePaint was fresh when I sold it to him Frame, Floors, trunk. rad supp. - mint. present owner put new interior and rug in, dual exhaust, and new shoe's and a few other goodies. Car runs great .... I took it on several trips when I owned it. A true survivor - motor / trans / rear never apart. I'd drive it X-country tomorrow.
Okay, how about this one then? The price is probably flexible, when it was first listed it was $32,500, then $22,500, now $12k. Looks nice though. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=25&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-%7CE-ALL%7CM-_7_%7CH-3%7CN-N%7CR-10000%7CI-1%7CP-PRICE+descending%7CQ-descending%7CX-antique%7CZ-98405&aff=tribnet&paId=220817658&recnum=0&leadExists=true Mileage: 64,000 1969 Buick Skylark. I have a 69 GS 400 console auto, white, white, have an interior ordered for it. Needs some finishing and detail work on it. Have to check the numbers on it to see if original drivetrain, very solid Cal car. Dont know if it fits what your looking for but thought I would throw it out here. Looking to get about 8500 out of it. Pm me if your interested. Thanks :TU:
John- have to give Alan a little time..... Geritol takes little while to work itself to the brain  :moonu: I was considering buying that Skylark from Alan- it is as he describes it---clean and straight :TU:
Too bad you didn't want to spend more. My buddy has a 69 GS400 convertible, red, auto, black interior (bench) he's thinking about selling. All original, <30K miles, needs a little work to make it perfect.
You calling me Slow, YoungPuppy ?? BTW - have you cleaned your diaper since I took you for a ride in BigRed ?? :moonu: Thought I smelled something freshly pungent coming from your side of the car Sorry John - Kids these days.....need to keep them in their place ou:

Gary, I might be interested in the Red GS 400 69 Conv. PM me with his details and info please. David R
Hi Dave, and all. Here is the car Gary was talking about. Keep in mind that I am really on the fence about selling this car. Also keep in mind that I am in no way trying to portray this car as pristine, restored, #1 or 2, or flawless. I am also not willing to give it away. It does have just under 34K right now, original drive train with an automatic transmission , factory air ( which has to be repaired) and a remote drivers side mirror. I put in a factory AM/FM while retaining the original radio. Not much else. Bench seat ( front seat recovered with a Legendary kit), standard drum brakes, dual exhaust. It came with steel wheels and pan hubcaps which would go with the car if I sell it. I don't have documentation but did procure it from the original owners nephew. Unfortunately, this car has some type body damage on every single panel except the drivers door and the trunk lid. It does not, however, need any replacement panels. To the best of my knowledge all the parts can be repaired and recoated as desired. Also the dashboard guage surround must be replaced since the original owner managed to overheat the lighter and melt the dash around it. I do have a replacement surround which needs to be painted and installed. The frame is excellent, and the floors and trunk are all there and in good condition. At any rate, it now has a 4 core radiator and can run in parades without overheating. I have also driven it all across the northeast, at 65-75 mph for hours at a time and no problems. It also has a new water pump, exhaust, tires, and fuel pump as well as a tune up. The carb is the original quadrajet, but has been rebuilt. It still has the original top, rugs, and rear seat, all of which are in excellent shape sans the cigarette sized hole in the roof. At least the car spent 99% of it's entire life stored in a garage. That two % is when I took it to shows in Buffalo, Syracuse, Mass, and CT, oh and the weekend I took it to Rhode Island. Like I said, this has been all over and it runs excellent. I have put new seals in the power top motor and it works fine. Again, I don't really know if I want to sell this car. If you are interested, you can contact me at jld1972@verizon.net for further discussion. Thanks John D
