Wow, I didn't realize we had lost so many old pics here... BPG @ Salem 2004, first time racing. Very stock 71 350. 2.56 posi. Best of 15.72.
My 69 GS400 Convert w 70 Stage1 PS, PDB, Buckets Console, P/W, P/ant, P trunk, Air, Cruse, Rear Sway bar I bought it in 1984 have over 340,000 miles on it needs to be gone through once more :Brow:
Chrome Trim Are my eyes deceiving me or is the side trim on the coves intact? I've had three GS's and never has any of them had that. Cool.
My 1968 GS 400 with a 1970 455 .030 I bought her for $3000.00 summer of 2003. The interior is in excellent shape. The exterior needs some touches here and there. I can't wait for summer to get here - she doesn't go out much in the rain (and I live in the Seattle area =). Just ideling down the road she sets off car alarms.
The trim on the side of my car is not stock but has been on it since i bought it in 1983 is the lick'm stick'm type and will be removed when i restore it and replaced with the proper pin stripe :Brow: Ken :3gears:
I guess I am not the only one that had fun with sensitive car alarms. :Brow: I had underground parking at one of my apartments and there was a Saab that would honk and flash every time I drove by it. The best place for setting of alarms was the Mall of America parking ramps, nothing like some good vibrations from a big block Buick with a full exhaust system just minding it's own business. :beer
My pride and joy Here's my baby hopefully sporting a 2x4 set up for the summer along with dual exhaust and some mellow tone mufflers. uzzled:
Thanks Rick! That's original paint too........ Here's a shot of the engine bay as it looks right now. I'm going to detail it out a little better once i get my 2x4 intake. 70K on the odometer.
Jarrod, that's a gem. I got my drivers license in 1969 in practically an identical 69 Electra. White with black interior & top. Wasn't so great on icy streets (ours was non-posi), but I managed. She was a very comfortable cruiser.
My 68 After 2 1/2 years and some parts from members of this board, I finally finished the bodywork and paint. Thanks Cole and Eggman.
