How do you thik this would compare to a nom stage 1 convert in the same condition? And how in the hell did the trunk look like that and the rest of the floors look so bad?

I like the way the rear seat belts are laid out like it's ready for a car show! Trust me...Olds guys will pay crazy $ for their cars and parts. That's why I just bought a GS to park besides my 1969 442!

I would take a 68-69 Olds over any 68-69 Buick anyday...The looks of the Olds are way better. The rear quarters have the best look to them. I think the designers missed the boat over at Buick when making their decision on what to use...Just my opinion..

I would be suspect of anything that dealer sells - I've checked out his inventory in the past - he also has tried to sell his cars on ebay. A lot of them look like they just received a slick paint job and nothing else. His inventory has also not changed in a while as far as I know so something is convincing potential buyers to walk away.

Asking about the trunk? Check out the red 69 Camaro he has in his stock and that answers how it can look that good. It's called trunk paint, just spray it in and covers rust and all

Pat- right there with you! Been looking for a 68 Hurst Olds clone (as the real ones are too far up there) for a few years now..

Looking at his inventory uncovers what appears to be a new trend these days. What used to be considered a POS is now officially a rat rod, which drives the prices up. It's all in our own personal interpretation but it looks to me like 75% of his offerings could be considered 'Rat Rods".

Unless they used bondo and shaped it perfectly I cannot believe they were able to hide the normal convertible rust with just paint. I was thinking it was a project someone started and they threw it together with a MAACO paint job and want to double their money or maybe triple it

You can clearly see the holes in the trunk of that Camaro. I wouldn't buy anything from this place because of that right there. If that's how they are going to try to hide the rust in the trunk, I can only imagine how much worse off the rest of the car actually is. It really makes you wonder how much bondo they used before the cheap paint jobs.

While I am no fan of dealers that flip cars and make huge profits on unsuspecting neophytes. They do mention that the car needs a trunk pan has soft spots in the floors and bubbling in the quarters. So why would that keep you from buying from them. Sounds like an honest description to me.
Of course I would look it over personally before buying.

If the car needs work, why try to paint over it and pretty the thing up? Rust holes with paint isn't going to bring in that much more money than rust without paint. If anything, it will get more people to go look at the car and not buy it than those that wouldnt have went in the first place. What else does the car need that they are not telling you about? Just makes you (me) skeptical about it I guess.
