Well, the basically stock (T/A intake, RV cam, new parts everywhere) rebuild is complete, NO LEAKS and running.:TU: Not running great (long crank, doesn't want to idle unless RPM is increased) but it's running.
60psi oil pressure cold, 15-20 hot at idle.

Had a fit with a brand new distributor that wouldn't keep time at all. It got ripped out after 3 attempts to retime it and the original dist put back in. Fired right up after that... That kind of pissed me off.

My question is - I bought a new fuel pump. Works great, but... It seems to have an extra port that I thought was an atmospheric reference for the diaphram (very small, 0.050" or so hole in it) but fuel drains out of the port constantly. The hole is too small for the port to be a return line and the car has no return in the first place. I plugged it with a vacuum line plug but this isn't a permanent fix. Anyone know what this "extra" port is for ??

The extra port has to be a vapor return line. All A/C cars had a return line to keep the fuel cooler and combat vapor lock. There is no problem capping it off. The pump will make a bit more pressure.

    What carb is on there?

Edelbrock. The carb that comes with the T/A intake kit. Bought it used.

Based on how upset my stomach has been the last 2 nights, I think it's SUPER rich. That would explain why I need more RPM's to keep it running, right ??

Only adjustments on the carb are idle mixture I think. I have a rebuild kit for it. Can I try to adjust something or should I just rebuild it (or buy a Q-Jet) ??

Bolt on a Q jet from Everyday Performance and you will be fine. Send him a PM on here or e-mail him and he can build a carb for your combo... I have used a bunch of them and they all run perfectly from 250 HP to 500 HP engines they always work great after he builds them:
