67 Wagon Shocks

    Was there a reason that the 1967 Special Wagon and the 1967 Sportwagon had different rear shocks?

    Or is it just to tick me off...?:(

    Hi Ian - Nice wagon! Not sure why ,but the top mount is where the difference is, stud vs bolts. Rockauto carries both....I know becasue I had to return the "wrong" ones for my wagon!

    I think they're different for the same reason that the gas tanks are different: the third seat in the Sportwagon required some reconfiguration of parts in that neighborhood. The Special wagon was not available w/ a third seat.

    yeah, wish summit had pictures on their website...probably woulda ordered them correctly if they did. Luckily KYB's website has accurate pictures
