Two weeks ago I noticed a broken drivers side motor mount. I changed the mount and now the header hits the steering shaft. I tried moving the steering column over, its as far as it can go.Its hitting on the outer portion of the shaft, the flat side is good, can I shave the shaft to fit? Or cut out that portion, its just a little piece.

Can you shave your steering shaft? For reasons of safety I would not do this under any circumstances. Some options are to dent the offending header tube or trade for some shorties.
