The pedal bracket that bolts thru the firewall and is held by nuts on the brake booster.

The brackets for Manual and Auto are different. Large size brake pedal as compared to small clutch and brake pedals. Each pedal has it's own bushing and rides on a shaft.

But is the bracket the same?? Swapping out that whole bracket from a driving car to change is a lot more work than just pulling the pin/bolt, take out 2 pedals and slide in single pedal.
    But can you do that?

I just want the option to try out a manual trans again in the future.

Are you sure both pedal assemblies are 67? It changed in 67 beacuse of the collapsible steering column.

Well I was fairly sure right up until you said that....

I know the automatic one is authentic, but on this new black car, it has the Z-bar and both pedals, however I don't know if it is correct or just place holders.

Of course my buddy since HS is telling me just tie down the clutch pedal, that way it's there if you want it.
