    Hi all-

Preparing for a road trip to get a trunklid for my 67 convertible. While two hours out at a well-stocked yard, should I pick up parts for a front disk swap too?

I've been leaning toward just getting the OPG 2" drop kit ($800, ouch) thinking that it'd be all inclusive and more or less bolt on.

But if there's a JY option, I'd entertain that.

Then again, the scarebird option looks good too, and I'd have all new consumables in the bargain. Any sense of what the cost of necessary hard parts is? I gather that they supply a parts list, just curious what the cost is.

Searching, it seems like there's lots of threads like this, but no clear consensus, other than to stay away from the ebay drop kits due to (presumed) poor metallurgy.

Thanks much for any advice. My drums are in good shape and work fine, but I'd sure feel better with disks instead.

I've used CPP (Classic Performance Products) on three cars. Excellent product, price and customer service.
