67 GS400 restoration pictures

Hello, I started this on July 28th and today is August 15th. She is a really rusty and dented piece of work. I have about 25 hours into it now and she is coming along nice. I decided to do the hard parts first and then go onto the left door, fender, and roof. I also have to do the rusty front and back window frames. I already had the another hood, rt fender, rt door, and trunk lid done and in primer, so I am hoping to get the rest of her done by the end of September. I will paint it some time this winter. I didnt know where else to put this thread so I put it here. This is what she looked like before body work.

Left door. More rust than I thought it would be.

 

I have been saving these door panels for 20 years from a GS 400 I parted out. I thought that I would see how they fit. Am I glad I didnt get rid of them!

Scott should I see if the doors are any good on the car from the guy I got the trunk lid from for this car?

 

Ed, thanks but I already have the door welded up and the body work is almost done. It isnt as bad as the pictures make it look. I should have pictures tomorrow. The passengers door on this car is so nice it is going on my Blue 67 GS400, and the rust free, but dented and fixed door on that car, is going on this one.
