Steve - It was just going to be an exhaust manifold ou: LOL. I am not looking to buy this, but thought it looked good enough to post. Herb, is it worth the price? Tom
Looks like a good deal to me. I'm not sure about the roll cage, and I doubt it runs in the 11's to need one if you were to race it, but a pretty fair price for a 67 GS400. I see she sits low in the stern like my 67 small block GS. I would expect the front to sag with the weight not the back.
i saw this car last month at a swap. roll cage is useless. not done right. as far as the rest of the car, it is a real gs. most of the parts are there. real good body. passenger side rocker panel is dented and needs to be fixed. all in all, its a good car. price wise, depends on your wallet. side note; he had another car i am/was very interested in. emailed him 3 times and have not got a reply. so.....
Trunk load of parts is good. Too bad that's not why my car sits low in the back! I'm going to have to get new springs. Still rides very nice for now though. If that 400 were near me and I had the extra cash, I would be looking at it. First thing would be looking at how much damage the roll cage install did since it would come out.
I drove from Flint Mich. to Boston last summer to look at this car and their were a few issues that drew me away from buying it-Vin #s on block were not between # 8 and #6 plugs as all my other 9 1967 GS are and their was covered up rust issues in trunk and rear wheelwell and under rear 1/4 panels, removing hacked up roll cage would have been a challenge.their was positives to the car hood was in good shape along with doors and had a nice posi.Jimmy was selling it and his price I believe was more reasonable.Anyway I passed on it but Jimmy turned me onto a bunch of NOS stuff for my GSs and other 67 stuff.Just my 2-cents on this car Later Mike L.
