I sent him an email last night asking if you could hold it for a few weeks if I paid him. He said sure and I have a friend going to Houston Monday and asked him to consider it sold. I guess we will see what happens. I asked him to call but he has only exchanged emails.
I'm not going to hold it, the current owner is. It would probably be safer and less chance of parts missing with the current owner holding, I do like 67 parts.:bla::laugh:
Well I sent another email to see when he would be around tomorrow for my co worker to meet him and I have not got an email back. I told him to call but he has not. I feel it slipping away.
Car IS a basket case. Father Son Project, that ceased when Dad got Leukemia, car went into Storage. Glass is out of Body, Interior Pulled, Floors need patching, as does Trunk from water coming through rear Glass (Per Seller). Front Clip is Off, Trans is out, engine setting back in frame W/Rolling shell. Car is an A/C car from So Cal, to Ft. Worth, to Houston area 9 years ago. (Owner has had the car for 2 years) has Power Windows, Buckets (need redone) Console, Non Posi Rear. Had the Meeting set, Cash in Fist, and called 45 Minutes before I was to be there, and was 5 minutes from the Storage, when Owner called back stating that Son was buying Dad out of project, and the car is off the market. They were still in the process of stripping the Body to find all the rest of the work that had been done & how much filler really was there. JR
Well that is the same story I got when I contacted him about having a guy drop of the money. It would have been a parts car to me anyway.
Somebody will be able to buy it from the son in the future......just keep watching Craigslist. I'm guessing it may be a lil more work and $$$$ than he figured.
