    1967-buick-gs400 (1).jpeg 1967-buick-gs400.jpeg Hey guys,
Is the ribbed portion of the instrument panel where the control knobs are painted argent or left bare chrome? The low mileage original black GS looks to me like there is paint on there. Thanks.

It's not painted, but there is some type of finish that I can't quite figure out what it is. It seems like it had some type of coating applied to it to me.

Kind of like a satin clearcoat? I think I may do that. It just doesn't seem right to me that it would be be bare.

They were bare chrome. I've had about a dozen of them.
I clean them with a toothbrush.... up, down, up, down, repeat about 800 times and you're done!
