I have an aftermarket gas tank(year one-Taiwan) and have heard bits and pieces about venting problems. Would it be possible to add two vent line penetrations and solder in the correct diameter tubes(1"-3") into the tank. has anyone ever tried to modify an aftermarket tank to cure this problem. Perhaps there is a different way that works, any help would be much appreciated. The sending unit/pickup tube already has one vent line(I believe), would a vented gas cap help? Thank you........Ryan
hi this is geno i restored my 67 gs i had same problem i called tank people they sayed i had to use a vented cap it didnt work it keeped pulling a vac and car would stall i droped tank and emptied the fuel and filled the tank with water and added a vent where old vent was it has no problem now
