Am putting my pride up for sale. My67 GS 400. Here's the specs. Car has virtually new interior, cutom. I have pics. Car is a PT/PB A/C car. AC is all there but does not work, although the compressor is fine. Car is painted bright yellow with a satin black hood. Here's what it comes with. Existing engine is a 70 455 with a cam. This was a circle track motor and the guy won four mains and they banned him from the track. He ran the motor in a 72 lark. Motor is all cast iron but has a very special cam in it. Engine has headers. This thing flat gets down the road and is an eye catcher. Get lots of thumbs up etc. I also have the original 400 motor. It was rebuilt complete and the cam burned in and then removed. The only thing missing off that motor is the numbers matching carb. The trans is a swith Pitch 400 that was rebuilt several years ago and is in perfect condition, also has some heavy duty modifications. The rear end is a 10 bolt, 8.5 posi with 3:90s. I have the original rear end and that will go with the car. I also have the star Wars air cleaner but it needs repair in one cornor, not major repair at all. Brand new tires just installed all the way around, they are 60's. They don't have 100 miles on them. Body of the car shows some nicks and dings, worst is the right rear cornor where the GS 400 is attached to the back of the fender. It's pushed in a little. Nothing major. Only bondo on car is the right rear quarter along the peak. Comes with an extra set of rear window trim, brand new door locks, never installed, brand new golve box, not installed. This car is very fast and rumbles like a gator. Has a brand new 2.5 inch exhaust from headers to bumper with chrome tips. Here's a few pics. It's worth it as it sits. Because its a number matching car and you get two engines. Car ran 13.9s at a calculated 5 thousand feet. Can provide many detailed pics. This is a Calif. car, there is no rust anyplace. Car is located in So. Cal. Can be driven anyplace although it has a tendency to run hot as it's the original radiator, albeit cleaned up. Gas mileage is nasty. Oh, almost forgot, car has an HEI, with an MDS 6Al made hot through an igntion relay, and a single wire alternator. I have an air pump that will go with car, however it's out of a 72, I don't know if they are the same or not. Please email me with questions at benderbrew@sbcglobal.net.
