That's a nice find. Original, bare bones...not to every ones liking... with great documentation. Looking at the trunk I would guess there are issues with leaking at back window so the floor, rear quarters may need attention.

I like it. An interior pic would be nice.

Difficult to tell but I would assume bench seat setup.

Love seeing them with the wheelcovers, same ones available on Sportwagon and Special Deluxe

I like that car. Seeing unrestored cars seems to always reveal something interesting. Even with the limited photos of this car I saw something that caught my eye. Notice that the inner fender rubber aprons are attached differently on each side. On one side they are attached from the top (the common way) and on the driver side it appears to be attached from the bottom. Probably original but if one of us restored our car like this folks would point it out as incorrect.

The trunk rust could be caused from a trunk mat holding condensation. also i wonder if it's a disc brake car my 67 special had wheel covers over the chevy type rallys instead of the disc brake caps. very cool to see an original car.

Wheel covers over disc brake wheels would not be the norm, probably added by the owner thar missed the traditional wheel covers or didnt want to look to sporty. Shane they didn't box the original wheel trim up abd save it. Disc brakes on a Special are pretty uncommon but they pop up on occasion.

Back in the early 90s I saw a '67 4-door sedan that had factory discs brakes and corresponding DG wheels. We checked it out and it was an original, unrestored car. It's the only 4-sdoor I've ever seen with factory discs.

There is a 1967 issue of Road Test magazine that tested a new '67 GS400 hardtop that had disc brakes and it had wire hubcaps, presumably over the DG wheels. I actually spoke to one of the staff members of that magazine and I asked him about this car and while he didn't recall the car specifically he did tell me that during the 60s Road Test magazine got all of their cars from local dealerships, not the automakers, so the hubcaps may have been added by the dealer.
