I would think it would be worth more than that in parts. I say it would be a great deal, but no matching motor or title relocates it to parts car status.
No title would be a deal breaker for restoration for me. Getting a title can be a real pain and expensive. Don't believe the internet lore that you can get a fake title, I can tell you first hand it can backfire horribly. That said, it's likely worth that much in parts. Not a bad deal.
I only work with 68-72 Skylarks, so I don't know anything about the parts on the others. I deal with the title stuff all the time and it is a pain. Probably a parts car. I have asked for interior pictures. If anybody is interested in the car, I could go look at it for you.
Paperwork for any car older than 1973 in New York is simple...We can get it the same day with the car,a vin verification form and a bill of sale........
