I have a GS 340 that I got about a week ago. It's been very cold blooded, but now even warm it's not running well at an idle, but good when you get it up do driving speed. I think I have choke issues, and I'm going to look into that as well as idle adjustment and mixture, (it smells likek gas when it's running), but before I get to far into it, what carb should have been on the 67 GS 340 new? Would it have had an electric choke? I'm going to mess with this carb, but if I need a rebuild, I want to make sure that I've got the correct original setup. I want to put my car back to as close to factory condition as I can, so since I have carb issues this sounds like a good place to start. Thanks in advance for any information. David
David, Great Find on the 67 GS340. Someone close to were I live has one, but they want too much money for it. I found this list on the web http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Kbuick3.htm I believe if your car has air conditioning Carter added an S to the main number. The choke on my 66 was a Hot air choke that came off the passenger side exhaust manifold. I am not sure if the 67 model is the same. I had my choke updated to electric at this time. Good Luck, Bob
